The trend of interest rates year after year is usually studied through the history graphs of mortgage interest rates. These kinds of graphs are reported on a yearly basis through which the transitions of the interest rates can be studied in detailed manner. There are different kinds of trends like the thirty year fixed trend which provides you with the information regarding changes of mortgage interest rates in the past thirty years. This is usually done through surveys which are being cons=ducted by various bodies like the financial boards and similar bodies. There are questions which are asked to many mortgage lenders, saving associations, banks, credit institutions, mortgage companies and many other such bodies and the results are being recorded. Recoding of loans also takes place usually in the last five days of any month. The year 2010 has many changes in the interest rates as being recorded by different sources.

According to one source known as PMMS or the primary mortgage market survey, the average rates of interest, fees and points along with the corresponding margin was also recoded. This is being done on a weekly basis and hence in the course of time, compilation of weekly survey data for the year 2010 is being accomplished. The survey done by this company was first recorded for seventh of January in 2010 and from there, weekly surveys were conducted. The last survey was done on thirtieth of December 2010. In this context, people came to know about the average mortgage interest rates for different plans.
